Marked are the general boundaries of the Lost and Found Caern
Daniel "Dances the Web" Pritzker arranged for the area to be classified as a nature and wildlife refuge as extremely endangered animals had been found living within the boundaries as well as plants thought to be extinct in the Northern Illinois area.
What was once a series of Cook County Forest Preserves has now been converted into a Federally Protected Wildlife Sanctuary.
